iOS Agent Skills, App Store Connect CLI, Foundation Models Tokens & More

March 28th, 2026

I recently launched a small menu bar app that cleans up all the storage that Xcode builds up over time. I'd love for you to check it out and let me know what you think. More details at the bottom of this email.

App Store Connect CLI

The App Store Connect CLI by Rudrank Riyam allows you to avoid using the website and do everything from the command line. But the bigger win is that AI agents can now use it for things like TestFlight distribution, metadata localization, screenshots, pricing, and more. That opens the door to automating a ton of the tedious release work that usually eats up your time. Give your AI agents App Store Connect superpowers.

WinWinKit (Sponsor)

WinWinKit lets you create affiliate programs for influencers, newsletters, or community members, with customizable commission percentages and payout duration. The really nice part is that there’s also a no-code option, so even non-technical teammates can manage it. If you’re looking for new growth channels for your app, check it out.

Paul Hudson - iOS Dev Agent Skills

Paul recently released AI agent skills for things like SwiftUI, Swift Concurrency, SwiftData, and more. These skills help steer LLMs away from outdated and deprecated Swift and SwiftUI patterns. This is a big deal for SwiftUI especially, where old training data causes the LLM to give you not so great SwiftUI code. It's like giving your AI Agent a PhD in modern Swift/SwiftUI.

Thomas Ricouard - iOS Dev Agent Skills

Thomas has some great iOS Dev agent skills as well. Check them out too. And congrats to Thomas for getting hired at OpenAI to work on Codex!

Swift Concurrency - Zero to Hero

If Swift Concurrency still feels intimidating, this is a really nice roadmap. It starts with approachable beginner resources, then gradually works up to deeper material so you can build real understanding over time. I especially like that it focuses on the “why” behind concurrency, not just the syntax. Don't rely on AI too much. You'll be better off if you understand Swift Concurency yourself.

Foundation Models Token Usage

Since the on-device model’s context window is so tiny, understanding how many tokens your prompts, instructions, and tools consume is a huge deal. In iOS 26.4 we now have the .contextSize property on the SystemLanguageModel to show how many tokens are being used for each element of the context. This will help you be more efficient and intelligent with how you structure your prompts when working with the small context window.

AI Agent Workflow - Context Switching

This issue includes a guest post from Antoine van der Lee on AI adoption, but the part that really stood out to me was the context switching problem. It’s incredibly tempting right now to have agents working on multiple apps or features at once, but I’ve found that gets overwhelming fast. Especially when you’re dealing with anything complex or creative. You end up bouncing between projects and losing your train of thought, which actually slows you down. Lately, I’ve been forcing myself to focus on one project at a time, and it’s made a big difference.

Eraser: Cleaner for Xcode

Xcode builds up gigabytes of storage over time. Eraser saves you time and easily cleans up Derived Data, Project Archives, and Device support. You can manually delete these from a convenient menu bar app, or you can set up intelligent automations so you don't even have to think about it.

Till next time,

Sean
